MC4 connectors are used for connecting solar (photovoltaic) cables to both photovoltaic panels and inverters. They can also be used to extend existing cables. A set of MC4 connectors consists of two parts. One of the connectors is positive (male) and the other connector is negative (female). These connectors are crimped onto solar cables to enable connections.
